    Eezox report

I'd heard good things about Eezox as an all-in-one cleaning/protecting/lubricating product. There was a link in another thread about a guy who tested 20 different product on bright finish nail by spraying them with 5% salt water solution. After 2 weeks the Eezox nail was still bright. I don't plan to hunt sharks with my bt380 then let it sit for 2 weeks, so as a protecting product it's probably all I would ever need.

I ordered some Eezox and got it this week. I wiped all the oil I had been using out of my weapon, then proceeded to clean it with the Eezox as if I had just come from the range.
Saturday I went to the range and ut 50 rounds through, then went home and cleaned it again.
Sunday I again put 50 rounds through, and cleaned it after.

During Sunday's cleaning, as soon as I got perfectly clean patches out of the bore, I got the Outer's cleaning solvent out. Wet a patch and ran it through. It didn't come out clean. It wasn't filthy by any means, but the solvent got a little residue that the Eezox missed.

One thing I saw mentioned in other posts was smell. Eezox has very little. Let's say you could clean a gun in the back bedroom of your mom's if you happened to visit on Saturday after the range, and she wouldn't even notice.

As for lubrication, I can only think of 2 tests:
    1. your slide sticks so bad that you get FTF's
    2. you notice excessive wear.

If neither of those happens then you must be OK in the lube department.

I had no issues with the weapon at the range, and see no wear. But I don't know if I'm willing to risk damaging the gun in a long term test for lubrication.

    Conclusion:

Eezox is a good product for your final wipe down and will probably be fine for protecting against moisture/sweat or (gasp) storing for prolonged periods without shooting.
As a cleaner, it does a good job but not a great job.
As a lubricant, it is light, so will penetrate well into places you can't get to, like hammer, trigger, decocker, etc. It won't gum up with lint, dirt. But you may opt for something a little heavier for slides that will stay put better.
