I've had one for about 18 months, think it's a blast (pun intended) to shoot and I'd buy one again in a heart beat. I actually can't think of a better home defense weapon. While it's bigger than other handguns, it is still a lot smaller than any other AR/AK available to the general public and has a lot more firepower. It uses AR mags in 223/5.56, so they and the ammo are available everywhere. It's also accurate for a rifle round coming out of a stockless gun with a 9" barrel. I can hit soda cans and trap/skeet clays at 75 yds all day long with it which is more than I can say for any other "pistol" I own, even my favorite Bersa 9.

Never handled or fired a PLR-16 but I was checking out the SU-16C at my LGS today. Very nice. They wanted $650; Bud's has them for $515. I'm thinking about it...Hmm [^o)]

FYI, there's a large write-up and review of both guns in the current issue of G&A's COMBAT TACTICS magazine. It's not listed on the cover, but there are plenty of pictures and it's a good five pages long with a lot of good info.
