BERSA BP 9/40 CC UPDATE

Postby NCFlyfisher » Fri Oct 30, 2009 11:06 pm

Hi B.T. Members!

I had to renew my vista to the South American Web Sites, but very glad I did :D Found some more information about the upcoming new line form Bersa on my exploits, lol

Finding news on this topic is a jungle, but I fired away and after the debris cleared there was a open window of what is about to come...

I found several comments about these new Bersa BP models posted in many South American Forums. I congratulate those handgun owners in Argentina and surrounding areas for their detailed information. Likewise, they are also monitoring our B.T. Forum too :D

Most of their comments are about the new Bersa BP line is a mirror to the Sig Sauer P250, only smaller in scale. Some say the other handguns are, but until the BP's are in hand no one knows...

Some of these forms say the new Bersa line has a "safe action" better than the G-Locks. Some there called the G-Locks, PLock (Might be the translation program got it wrong)... Also posted a magazine for a 9 HC (17+1) is able to fit a CZ models and firing with no problems. The magazine article itself, sorry but will try to add more (the lower bottom of my topic is all I could bring up). But there is more... Several comments on how this new handgun fires and other photos of targets it has hit.

This photo is from a ad magazine from South America:

I would like to post the links, but I have to protect my sources 8-)

Hope This Helps...

It had decided with Lucas Bonadimani to go to know and to prove the new pistol Turns. Lucas agreed with Bonadimani going to know and test the new Bersa pistol. While poensaba journeyed the congested Gral. Peace course to Mejía Branches how it would be this new model. While transiting the congested toward Gral Peace Mejia Branches poensaba how would this new model. Precise to 10,30, as it corresponds, I touched the timbre of the main entrance of Turns on the Magallanes street. Once installed comfortably in one of rooms of company and while we talked on the new challenge that means designing, making and to commercialize a new product, was added when char it Benso, President of the company/signature. With its characteristic average smile (that one does not know or if is of joy by verte or some other hidden reason never until now deciphered, in spite of the years I know that it) it began to tell me - together with Lucas- how was developed this new one? son. The idea began to take form does about two years, and in the last it began itself to work more deeply. Promptly AT 10,30, applicable ace, Rang the Bell of the main entrance on Street Magallanes Bersa. Eleven comfortably installed in one room of the company and ace we talked about the new challenge of the design, manufactures and market to new product, there are joined the chat Benso, president of the firm. With his trademark half-smile (that one is not sure if it is to joy to see you or some to other hidden reason to never hitherto deciphered, despite the years that I know) began to tell, along with Lucas was conceived how this new ' son.' The idea take began to shape about two years ago, and last began to work dwells deeply. Reunited with the salesmen of the EE. Meeting with vendors of EE. UU. UU. one detected that there was a demand more and more maintained in sidearms for defense and in those especially to be carried or like second weapon (? back up) for the personnel of the police and civil forces. Also was analyzed the gradual decrease in the demand of the pistols calibrates,22 LR, that during years were? battle pony? when the sales surpassed the 1,500 monthly units. We remember that the Bersa company, that already surpassed the 50 years of fecund, uninterrupted and successful trajectory, quickly began with the manufacture of,22 pistols Corto, soon,22 LR, also penetrating in the manufacture of guns reaching fame and international reputation. was found that there was an increasing demand for small arms held in defense and in individual those to sees worn on or ace second weapon (' back up') for law enforcement personnel and civilians. also discussed the gradual declines in demand of,22 LR to caliber pistols, which for years were the ' workhorse' units Rep when 1.500 salts exceeded month. That turns Recall the company, which there are already exceeded 50 years of fruitful and successful to career interruption is began with the manufactures of Short,22 pistol, then,22 LR, also making inroads in the manufactures of guns reaching international fame and popularity quickly. Soon after the line of semiautomatic in caliber,380 the ACP and some in 7,65 mm was gotten up (,32 the ACP), these last ones exported mainly to countries of the South Cone. Just in 1991 it penetrates in? leagues majors? when Parabellum sends its chambered model for popular the 9. Shortly to after there am joined the line in,380 the ACP semi-automatic and some AT 7,65 mm (,32 the ACP), to latter mainly exported to Southern Cone countries. Only in 1991 venturing into the ' majors' its when it launches model chambered for the popular 9 Parabellum. With the series Thunder and Mini Thunder they would also appear the supplies in calibers like the,40 S& The,45 W and the ACP. With the series to appear Mini Thunder Thunder and also deals in calibers like,40 S & W and,45 the ACP. These launchings made possible that the pistols Turn were acquired in great number by the Federal Police and other provincial ones, replacing the veterans Browning, Ballester Oil mill and Colt System. These releases made it possible for the Bersa pistols were purchased in large numbers by the Federal Police and to other provinces, replacing the veteran Browning, Colt Ballester Oil mill and System.

Since the Bersa BP is now featured in a gun magazine, I guess there is no reason to keep some of my BP photo's secret anymore. I hope these shots add a bit more light on the BP series of pistols soon to be released.

Blowing up the photo on the internal/inside part of the handle, it looks like the grip rails in the mid section are 1 1/2 inch long and at the back end 1" long. That is the best internal photo I've found so far...

Slink profile, modern update from the proven Bersa line, looks like 24 oz. and perfect for concealment. I'll definitely give this a go, try and test! Very nice looking handgun! Again, Thank You rachilders!

My LGS's supplier said they could sell one once it arrives for $320 in WNC. And now the wait...

Let's see if we can get a comparison.

ImageImage I don't know about the Sig 250....so many guns out there that look similar. The Bersa does have memory pads, which I like. It's still plastic, and I don't discriminate when it comes to plastic guns, they're all pieces of......well, plastic.

Thanks for the photos. I am waiting patiently to see this new Bersa in the flesh. It looks like a nice size for pocket carry and CCW.

Regards - Rainman.

Funny as it stands, I thought this news of the new Bersa line would be of a great interest...

I take it as not so...

So many have asked about this new BP/CC firearm, I wonder why I even posted this Intel...

Maybe it isn't a priority for those who seek the info which is displayed 8-)

One would think so, but for supplying actual facts on the BP from a inside view...

Those who are interested including the South American web sites are greeting its arrival on the first of

the year...

Great info ! But, you've presented me with a dilemma. After recommendations from this board, I had decided to get a 9UC. And, I waited for a Saxet gun show in nearby Conroe, Tx. yesterday, and found a vendor with a 13 round 9UC NIB for $299 plus tax. I was going back to get one today and saw your posts. The clean design of the new Bersa seems real nice and the simplicity of the striker action is a plus for my wife. Now if I can just rationalize having both eventually :-)

Thanks again.

' Now if I can just rationalize having both eventually "

You can, Brucer, you can! Just think how convenient it will be if you and your wife have guns that share the same caliber ammo.
Further, a 9UC for you now - on which she can train in anticipation of the 9CC to come.
You can do it, feller!

BTW, $299.00 is a darned good price these days.

Fishfondler, your efforts don't go unnoticed. Before the "pro" was known, I, like you, used to scour the South American sites and came across the the Thunder Pro and posted it here on BT. MT knew about it, but was keeping it from us, and rachilders, well, he's very, very close to BERSA (and holds his cards close to his chest) knew about the Thunder PRO. It may have been a mistake to "find" it so early because it's a long tedious process to get these things into the Country. I believe the actual delivery date was some six months longer than the projected date. Don't get me wrong, it caused a lot of chatter, but we tired of the wait. I think this time around, when it gets here we'll talk about it. The novelty has worn off.
You must remember, this is a totally new weapon. The Pro series started coming out in bits and pieces, ( they didn't have to submit for a "new" gun test) chort for instance has the first "Thunder Joe", it was something to talk about as the pro's progressed and evolved.
We'll give you your prop's, and in the mean time, we'll all wait for them to hit the U.S. market.

Thanks for the info Flyman! And thanks for the photos RA!

I am not a fan of plastic guns and I like my guns to have hammers .... but I might have to get one of these just because it is a Bersa! :)
