I keep a good supply of a similar quick clot product called Celox

It's been a part of my first aid kit since I started taking the blood thinner Plavix. Even small cuts and scratches on me bleed quite a bit before stopping and I've used the small 2 gram packs a couple of times now. My med kit includes several 2, 15, and 30 gram packages, some Celox gauze and 2 penetrating wound applicators. It's great stuff and works as advertised. I'd highly recommend that everyone include one of these products in their aid kits.
EVERYBODY is pro-gun, some just don't know it. When an anti-gun person is in trouble, the first thing they do is call 911 and demand that they send somebody with a gun!

These new clotting agents are spectacularly great. That video was amazing if a bit tough to watch.

What's interesting is that I read somewhere that tourniquets shouldn't be neglected. The article said that the risk of damage to the limb from reduced blood flow is less than previously thought and it's not really necessary to loosen it occasionally, as was previously taught. Apparently bleeding to death is worse than they thought. I'll post the link if I run by it again.

I keep Celox on hand. Neat stuff. It is improving all the time too.
