So if I live in MI where 80% of the worlds fresh water is. I have some breeding goats and chickens. 110 acres for heating wood and shooting and growing food. Not to mention already grow most of my food from seed just because I don't want to deal with the genetically modified crap their selling. I have enough powder/primers and bullets to honestly say there are 1,000 rounds for each gun I own. And I own a lot. Where would I fall on this guys chart? And to think I'm not really preparing for much more than retirement.

I have 6 acres with an orchard and a stock-tank (pond to you yankees).

Don't let the fence posts fool you... they are Range markers, the inner perimeter fence around the house may or may not be wired, just like I may or may not be armed.

If the gate is closed, you weren't expected, and if you werent expected, you werent invited. If you weren't invited, you are trespassing, but you knew that when you got to the inner gate...

Seems to me that the most common emergency is a weather induced power outage lasting for about a month. It seems to happen at least once a year someplace.

There's a solar energy kit on sale at harbor freight that I bought for about $150. It has 3 panels producing 15 watts each and a battery charge controller. You hook it up to a marine deep cycle battery. The thing produces enough juice to charge cell phones, laptops and other small electronics as well as powering a few small CFL lights. I *think* it can be expanded to produce enough juice to power one of those little dorm room refrigerators. I know almost nothing about this kind of power system and it seemed like a reasonably cheap way to start out and learn about them.

i knew there was a reason I bought a house on a dead end gravel road with two old 5000gal cisterns though currently there is flashing over the collectors on the roof.... propane backup gen 500 gal tank.... oh and one of the cisterns the hatch is hidden in the MB closet walls are 12 inch thick as is ceiling... makes a great tornado shelter.....
always well stocked on tuna and pasta.... only gun i dont keep atleast 500 rds for is the new 380..but that case of ammo should be comin in anytime now(i hope)
plenty of rabbits breeding under the shed (gives me an easy supply to train the mutt)

also i throw bread and such out every night that gets thrown out by the local bakery.. every night i see atleast 4 foxes a family of coons and several possums come to feed....keeps em around the area in case i need meat

at work we have an actual nuclear fallout shelter... won't tell ya what i keep hidden there

I would say i'm probably a 6.5 or so...cus i don't worry bout it too much and have very little in the way of plans but generally prepared for any run of the mill occurance and a few more serious situations... besides i know a large group of 10's a couple who actually are licensed to own full autos..... oh and i have a home made cannon that can shoot a can of peas through a car door... talk about frangible ammo

ok i'm a nut minus the tinfoil i guess
