Yes, good enough that I have already forwarded the article to several friends, most of whom don't carry. :)

I like that a lot. However, I have to wonder if all licensees really fit his model. I think about states that don't require a shooting test or some of the people I have seen on the range during qualifications. Scary.

Certainly it doesn't apply to all CCW holders, but most.

People have asked me if I really needed to carry in the area that I live, which is relatively safe. What if I carry my whole life and it wasn't neccesary? My response: My sincere hope is that when I die at 105 I find out that I carried for 65 years for absolutely no reason because I never took the gun out of the holster. That would be just fine. On the other hand, what would not be fine is to not carry on that one day when I need to and never make it to my next birthday.

Damn fine reading. I plan on making this available to a couple of anti-gun liberals I'm working on converting. Liberals can often be persuaded to change or modify any anti-2nd Amendment views that they may hold when provided access to well-written articles like this.
Favorite President: Theodore Rooselvelt. (To know what made him tick is to know what makes me tick).
Favorite Qoute: Democracy is two wolves and a rabbit voting on what's for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed rabbit contesting the vote.

Good read for all that carry. Where I live you never know when or where one may be needed. I play it safe as well and pack in all places my permit allowes me to. Too many folks have been killed within a mile of my house just for the money in their pocket, and I'm not even in what they call the "bad part" of town.

I don't think there is such a thing as 'bad part of town' or 'good part of town' anymore. I think some areas maybe just a litte 'better' than others. The scum have invaded everywhere.
